Sweet Sixteen contained by March!?
- I am having a sweet sixteen in March.
- I want it to be semi-formal (Guys in button up shirts and girls surrounded by dresses)
- It can't be really expensive.
- I love Europe (Always wanted to go)
- I'm Latin (Didn't get to have a quinceaneara =(, it be too late)
- I love dancing, I want it to be kind of a dance carnival.
- I love photography (Black and whites are amazing!).
- Favorite colors are purple, yellow and green.
Any ideas on what I should do? Any suggestions are welcome =) Themes, Activities, places to hold it, any ideas!
Well perchance you could wear white and have everyone else wear black? Or you could get things and make it a European consistency, or you could have a dance theme and put things around that symbolize that. With the photography possibly you can display some of you pictures on the walls of the room. Maybe you could have a dance contest! haha that would be fun! Hope i helped and own fun! :)
You could have a Parisian Ball. I know it's not Latin, but Paris is the first point that comes to mind when I think of Europe. You could do it with anywhere though.
Anyways, you could have some of your pictures (or favorites that other those have taken) printed or put on canvases and hang them on the walls for decorations. You could have it anywhere; a rental lecture theatre would be best, but even your basement would work if you have room. Serve a European-style dinner (French Mediterranean anyone?) with candles on the table. Have a dance floor and music playing. Have a little area set up within the back where people can own their picture taken (have your mom or someone take the pictures with a poloroid camera) and use a big picture of the Eiffel Tower as the background. =]

- See if you can hire a DJ, its the best way to have a semi formal dance party, again talk to many to find the best price and variety sure that they provide those cool disco lights :D
- Europe will have to wait, may be you can wear a dress from a European designer =]
- you can hire a photographer, and for the third time, RESEARCH! to make sure you can find one close at hand you for photo shoots, ask how much they charge and where they can set up!
- Decorate you table with your favorite colors, and go to your local dollar store to find cool little stuff (beaded necklaces, those shindig clappers and other cute stuff) to give out during the party, and for your party favor conceivably you can order personalized candles, frames or really anything! here's a cool site i was going to use for my sweet sixteen!

- to save money on invites, trademark them on your computer and print them out on photo paper, put them in an envelope and send them out, you don't stipulation to customize and order those
- also don't forget a cake!
