Texting on time off..?

I live in the United States, and am currently on a family vacation within Canada. I have unlimited texting. So now I'm wondering if it will cost me any extra to text my friends because we're outside of the country. I enjoy verizon wireless. Does anyone know if this would cost more or not? No, I don't think so.
I also have unlimited texting and my friend basically moved out of the country and we text all the time. It doesn't cost him any, and it doesn't cost me any. He also has verizon...immediately I am not for sure on this, but if you call or go to the Verizon store, they will always be chirpy to help!

If its unLIMITed later it should have no LIMITS...but you know how cell phone companies are
