12 year older daughter problem?
my daughter is Very skinny for her age she eats very healthy she never skips meal or anything but she is 5 stone and she keeps saying she is fat , adjectives her Friends talk like that too so im wondering if there influencing her to be approaching that, also it dosent matter what my daughter eats she dosent gain anythink she still remains very slim
It's just a girls thought process as she grows up.
I thought i be fat in 5th grade i be 4'11" and 103 pounds! i was
on the smaller side of average! now i still think i'm oil and i'm 5'5"
and 131 pounds which is average. It's just how a girl compares herself
against other girls without thinking.
I've never thought or said I was fat, I'm 5'4 and 97 pounds.
But some of my friends, they read aloud they're fat ALL the time even though it's obvious they aren't it's soo annoying!
I think they do it purely so people will tell them they aren't.
Like if they tell me "Ohh I'm so corpulent I wanna be skinny like you"
They want to hear me say "You're not fat, you're ideal!"
or something. they're hunting for compliments to make themselves feel better.
She might just have a large metabolism, and what ever she eats it just passes through her body and she remains slim. She may be intake healthy, but maybe you could increase the portion size for her. Are you sure she eats her lunch surrounded by school? Does she eat all her breakfast and dinner?
If she say she's fat, she could have an eating disorder. You call for to confront her and tell her that she is 5 stone, and that that's not fat. If she still doesn't agree with you, it may be a appropriate idea to bring her to a doctor about it. It's not healthy if she is aphorism she's fat when she's very skinny.
Yeah, This is so Peer Pressure kicking in. This is the time where they start liking boys. They start dressing up. THey start experimenting etc.
So Thats great she eat healthy, Terrific, but if shes way to thin after maybe increase portion size for her? She is your daughter.
I dunno Maybe Confront Her, Talk to her. Cook something delicious and fattening? haha

I have that,It's not an illness but i do not step round saying i'm fat, im 13 and weigh 6 stone. You need to get hold of her to recognise that she isn't fat.
I would say something really upright about her every day. Like you could compliment every day give or take a few how she is so beautiful and slim, or she has such a pretty face, or something. Then it would boost her confidence and she would be aware of better about herself.
I am the same method, i am 13. I don't think I'm fat but like so heaps of my friends do. i don't know if its the same case with your daughter but i suppose most of my friends say they are fat so thy will be reassured that they aren't, they newly want people to tell them they are skinny. But Your daughter and some of her friends might actually enjoy a problem.
She probably has a high metabolism, just generate sure she keeps eating the 3 square meals and remind her she is not podgy.
mine (:

Answers: yehh it sounds similar to shes having some body image issues since shes that thin and saw shes far. are you sure she eats all her meals? have she been eating less lately? and you say aloud that she eats very healthy so no unwanted items food or anything coz this sounds like it could be the start of an eating disorder. her friends probably are a big influence in this... it probably started near one of them saying they think there fleshy someone else thinking about what they said and obsessing over themselves then them axiom there fat then from in that they all started obsessing over themselves and are all fueling eachother and making eachother believe that they are. You hold to show your daughter (and possibly her friends) and make her realise that she isnt fat because this could possibly turn into something like anorexia and you dont want to agree to it get to that stage..
She just have a fast metabolism, theres nothing wrong.
But you should just keep hold of reasuring her that shes not fat.
if she eat 3 meals a day, don't worry because that shows she is getting her each day needs with calories and such but if she starts eating smaller number, then worry.
