Im have reading comprehension problems any tips??...?
Im 17 and i was held back in first category for reading and immaturity problems. i took a english testing benchmark and i scored poorly surrounded by the reading section . I have trouble sometimes completing sentences together. normally when i read it take me a couple of times to figure out what im reading and i don't understand what im reading. does this mean im special ed..? what should i do?
It doesn't mean you are special ed, you basically have some trouble with reading and writing. They have classes that can minister to you with that. You can check at your school.
It means your memory skills aren't great for reading. You can cram to read really fast and remember what you read. Just practice scanning and remembering what you see. Try to gain photographic memory. The more you study reading the more clues you will get to minister to you to perform reading better.
Other things that help...
Read all words look them up within the dictionary, make sure you know exactly the way words sound.
Remember you are blind to the classification of a word you don't understand and you can't read words you don't know.
Do a lot of thinking on just something like everything helps. Everything on earth seems to inter connect so command many things in general help with your performance.
Read a lone a lot few hours respectively night. Your mind may not be able to get details of reading if you are distracted. With practice you can read resourcefully with understanding even with distractions.
Tell your mind to remember this it is esteemed which creates a memory space in your brain.
Get sleep and some exercise everyday.
Plus I recommend reading; Remembering Everything You Read by Stanley D. Frank or check out other books about reading and that should help.

i find it usefull if you own the book to mark up the text next to a pen. every few sentances write a response, ask a question, predict or whatever. it can be a pain but it help you stay focused in what you're reading. and if it's not your book, post its always work :]
You should probably get checked for a learning disability, this opening you can be helped so that your future is not affected by your problems beside reading.
Having a learning disability is not a huge deal and it doesn't mean you own to go to tons of special classes or anything.
